Context
From 1995 to 2017, Dr. Ricardo Miledi worked as a Distinguished Investigator at INb-UNAM.
Beyond his scientific contributions, he attracted attention to the INb-UNAM and promoted international academic collaboration.
Ricardo supported newly graduated PhD students of the INb to obtain the Pew Latin American Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Numerous students and colleagues from Mexico and other countries benefited from interacting with Dr. Ricardo Miledi, both academically and personally.
Application (to the Miledi- Program)
All full-time academic faculty of INb-UNAM can apply for this program, as host for an invited distinguished scientist.
The invited scientists and hosts should commit to participate in at least three of the following activities:
1) A plenary lecture,
2) a short course,
3) a talk on professional development, and
4) converse with students and faculty on their projects and career paths.
Activities 1 and 2 are mandatory.
All expenses covered by the INb-UNAM include airplane tickets, hotel, meals, and local transportation. A budget for the short course can be included if needed. This program will cover no fee or salary. No first-class tickets are covered by
UNAM.
Applications will be received from June to October, and a decision by the Consejo Interno will be announced in November.
